The UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO) has issued a directive for trade mark and registered design owners, requiring a UK Address for Service for post-registration matters from 2024. This applies to all matters excluding renewals.

The requirement for a UK Address for Service means that EU firms are no longer able to represent you in UK, so owners of Cloned UK Trade Marks must act fast to appoint a UK Attorney as their UK Address for Service. This follows the UK’s separation from the EU Trade Mark and Design System.
