Our ‘Charity of the Year’ is Cancer Research UK
Every two minutes, someone in the UK will develop cancer and every four minutes someone will pass away from the disease.
This year, our people have voted to support Cancer Research UK as our charity of the year. Formed over 20 years ago, Cancer Research UK invests over $400 million yearly in 39 countries to identify cases and discover new cures. Thanks to the work of the charity, the survival rate has doubled in the UK since the 1970s with 2 in 4 individuals now surviving the disease.

From Corporate to Classroom – the AAT outreach programme
AA Thornton have donated thirty-nine computers to Southend High School for Boys.

Other activities
- 14 of our people ran the Standard Chartered Great City Race 2018 which raises money for the charity Seeing is believing
- We held a bake sale for Mind, to raise money. You can see more here.
- 9 of our people took part in the The Great City Race 2017 which takes place in London every year, and this year raised money for the Charity Seeing is Believing.
